A brilliant business marketing strategy is repurposing content. In this digital era where technology is everything, it’s about time to be out with the old and in with the new. Today, Scott reveals the three tools he uses to redistribute his content in various social platforms and grow audiences. Note investors and entrepreneurs love to market but don’t like to do all the work after. These distribution tricks will definitely release everyone from the workload and stress.

Repurposing Content

I’m excited to be back home after being on the road so much for a few weeks from here to Tampa, Tampa to Denver briefly, then to San Diego, San Diego to Las Vegas and back here at Austin, back out to Orlando and back home. We are excited to be here especially with what we’re doing tonight and how we changed up Note Night in America. We would still have open Note Night in America as the first Monday of every month, but the second, third and fourth, we changed it up for just the WCN Crew to streamline some things here, after spending so much time on the road and out meeting with my peers and some of my personal coaches on some of the things that we’re doing bringing the house a little bit. We wanted to add a little more value to you that are part of the WCN Membership out there. We’re excited about this. We didn’t want to take anything away from your time wanting to add more to those of you that are being around and invested with us on a monthly basis. We’re excited for future webinars as well that we’ll be providing to you throughout the rest of the year on some things.

Steph and I had a great time in Orlando. It was the Podfest 2019. It was the fifth year that they had it. There were 1,100 podcasters and entrepreneurs there. It was over double what they had in 2018, which was our first time. I was thinking back about what to discuss, what to share with you. I thought, “What’s been the biggest impact on me in the last twelve months since I attended Podfest?” I’m going to talk about a couple of things. We’re going to go through three very powerful things for those of you looking to do more in your business without having to add a lot of work to you. First and foremost, we always like to know who’s with us here. We have note real estate investors obviously, people interested in notes. These calls are recorded. We will post this to WeCloseNotes.tv for you. It will be private except for those that are in the WCN Membership, we’ll post the link directly into there. Make sure you are subscribed though to our YouTube channel. We will list this onto the iTunes podcast platform for Note Night in America podcast.

There are big things over the Note Closers Show podcast. We are rock and rolling over there. It’s really impressive. I would love if you have not reviewed to go ahead and review it and subscribe. We’ve got lots of great content, interviews, guests and vendors. We will be pushing Note Camp back for a couple of reasons. One is there’s just so much stuff out there going on right now. We’re going to move Note Camp to once a year. We’ve done a great job with it but honestly, I don’t want to water down the market any more than it already is. There are a lot of educators out there, a lot of people come in and teach it. We were like, “Let’s just move it back out to one time a year.” That’s what we’ll do. We’re all going to be tweaking how many times we do our Virtual Note Buying Workshop. We may move back to twice a year with everything going on. We want to spend more time focused on some other stuff and we believe that we’re still giving a ton of great content out via Note Night in America here and then also on our Note Closers Show podcast. We’ve made some changes, some dramatic ones. Not that we’re going to stop the education side. We still have the Note Buying Blueprint and a few other things that we’re doing on the down low, but we’re tweaking our schedules and what’s available out there for everybody.

If you’re part of the WCN Mastermind membership, you still get tickets to the Note Camp. You still get tickets to replays and some of the stuff that we’re doing as well, along with the great discounts and bonuses. We love for you to be a part of LoanTales.com, 50 note investors, case studies marketed everywhere. I had a couple of great interviews with two people who are a part of this and just jacked up on what we got going on. I learned some really great stuff that we’re excited about this with our rollout on this. It’s going to add a lot to everybody. We will be sending this out to asset managers, we will be sending some of this out to everybody to check to have their own eBook, their own episode on the Note Closers Show podcast as well. Plus, we’ll be sending that to REI clubs, Meetups and conventions as well as we’re talking and marketing it geographically around places that maybe we’re not at, but we found some cool things that we can do market-wise to market to events.

Time is a wasting if you’re not going to take part of this. Go to LoanTales.com, you will not be disappointed. First Monday, we’ll always be open to everybody, to general public. We’ll have some things like that. We feel that it’s important to deliver great content. If you are not part and if you’re still slipping in from those that were pre-registered, you want to go to the WCNMembership.com and get signed up because we will be using a new Note Night in America link.

The thing I want to talk is about who loves to market but doesn’t love to do all the work afterwards? I think everybody raises their hands, “I don’t mind marketing or come up with something, but I don’t want to do all the work afterwards. I can come up with an idea, but I don’t want to repost it, reshare it, redo all the stuff that I have to do to truly drive an audience.” Does anybody out here feel like you’re slammed a little bit? I guarantee you everybody should be raising their hands for the most part. There are three things that we’re going to talk about. They can have a big influence because these things have had the biggest influence on me in the last few months. The question I’m going to ask you and if yes or no, it’s not a big deal. No, we’re not going to send all this stuff up, but do you have a Facebook business page? Do you have a Facebook group that you run? Not a personal page because Facebook has made some algorithm changes again to their Facebook stuff. Do you have a YouTube account? Do you have a LinkedIn profile? Do you have a Twitter account? You’re like, “I don’t know what that is.” Some are senior statesman that are around here or states ladies. Do you have an Instagram account?

What I’m going to cover with you is going to help you save a lot of great stuff. I’m going to talk to you about three things and these are some distribution tricks that I learned at Podfest. Two of them I learned in 2018 and I’ve been implementing it. I wanted to bring them back up because I don’t think I shared it much there. The third one I learned is really powerful from a buddy of mine who spoke there. I saw him speak at New Media Summit in Tampa that I’m friends with. I was honored enough to be on his podcast that you are going to love. The guy that owns Repurpose.io is Hani Mourra. It’s a tool that we use a lot and it saves us hours and hours of redistribution. LiveLeap.com is another fabulous tool that we use to share across platforms. I’m going to talk a little bit about Instagram Live. These are some of the cool tricks that I learned. This is going to be an interactive part, especially the third part.

Repurpose.io: Create Once, Publish Everywhere

What I wanted to do first is go to Repurpose.io. It allows you to automatically publish your audios and videos to multiple platforms without hiring a team to do it. This is such a cool tool because I like video. When I film a video like when I do a Facebook Live or if I use Zoom with webinars, it automatically will recognize it. I’ll give you an example. I’ve connected some of my different things. I have my Facebook, my YouTube, BINGE Networks is something I’m using for distribution, YouTube to Facebook, YouTube to my WCN YouTube page. I have a couple of different YouTube pages and another output there for audio stuff. If I go to my workflow, this is what’s great about Repurpose. When I do a live video for my business Facebook page or my personal Facebook, it will automatically recognize it, then I can share it to the WCN YouTube page.

I did a Facebook Live video. I did a quick test run and you see as soon as I was finished with it, it recognizes it, Repurpose goes out to my Facebook. It says, “Anytime you do a Facebook Live video, we want to go out and identify it, then you have the right to publish it,” if I want to publish it, to my YouTube channel. I’m not going to do that, but I’m going to show you some of the cool things. If you have to download a Facebook video and then re-upload it to YouTube, it takes forever. This, you don’t have to.

NNA 41 | Repurposing Content

Repurposing Content: Repurpose.io. allows you to automatically publish your audios and videos to multiple platforms without hiring a team to do it.

If I’m going to click on Publish, this brings up the title that I posted, then I do short descriptions that I can put in here, “Get more information, go to WeCloseNotes.com,” and then it puts a title in here. It also has all my keywords. I know some of you struggle with keywords. I can upload a customized YouTube thumbnail that automatically posts if I wanted to create it or something default. I can hit publish down and automatically publish it to YouTube for me. If I had a bunch of videos on here, I could go ahead and publish.

Money Mondays with Quest Trust Company, the beautiful thing is that’s already been published if I remember correctly because that’s off my business page. Some of the ones that I did like I had to do my business page with Aaron Young and I hit publish and it’s automatically up and running. I can see it. There are a couple of other live videos that I did straight from Podfest. It recognizes what I’m not going to publish on my YouTube account. The beautiful thing is a refresh. I have two. One for my Facebook business page and one for my personal Facebook page. It depends on how I ended up doing the live videos. The great thing is that I can automatically publish these things. This one, I’m going to click on republish. I’m going to hit view and it will pull up. It takes you straight over YouTube. This was published there. The video is good to go. Give them more info and you go back and add it. All the keywords are in there, which is great.

Repurpose is relatively cheap. I have a monthly plan. It’s cheap, $20 a month for the most popular. It’s for a limited time, but it keeps running it. I can connect it to your own podcasts, YouTube, SoundCloud, Twitter, BINGE channels, Dropbox and Google Drive accounts. If you upload a bunch of YouTube videos or videos at Dropbox, it can go out and recognize your Dropbox and it can automatically upload to your YouTube account. It’s pretty badass. I’m paying a content marketing plan for $20 a month. If you want to do a one-off thing or a live streamer, it’s $12 a month. If you’re doing one YouTube channel, it’s pretty cheap. John Lee Dumas and Joel Comm are two guys that I look up to in the podcast. It’s pretty easy to use. You use the video on Facebook, it goes out and recognizes it, then there’s one button for typing and pasting. It will share it to YouTube for you. That’s one of the most powerful tools that I use.

If you’re doing a Facebook Live and you have a YouTube account, are you uploading those videos to YouTube besides doing a Facebook Live? Are you uploading those to YouTube as well? Do you manually do that though? Do you hit the download button and then the upload button? It takes a little while for Facebook to download the video. Trust me, I know. This is the beautiful thing that would save you hours. You’d go back in, type in a couple of questions, hit the submit button or upload button, and it would run off with it. This might be something to think about for you. Another thing, I’ve also got a couple of codes on these if you’re looking for stuff, some discount codes for you or links for you to use if you want some affiliate stuff. It’s phenomenal.

Here’s another tool for you too who are using videos and Facebook Lives to be able to share those directly across the board from your Facebook page to your YouTube page. Repurpose.io is well-worth the $12 a month just in the time alone that I save. If you’re going to be doing videos on a regular basis, you probably don’t need the $20. You probably just need the $12 a month, that one or the live streamer. It’s easy. Probably most of you just need the live streamer. I’m not going to publish unlimited full-length Facebook Live at least from one Facebook page group or personal profile to one YouTube channel. It’s what most of you probably will need. It’s cool, awesome to work with and they’re adding new different things all the time.

LiveLeap.com: Automatically Share Facebook Live Videos

One of the things I like though that you will want to dive into is LiveLeap.com. This is a thing that goes out and also recognizes that you’re doing live video. It will automatically share it across different platforms. It won’t share to YouTube, but it works with your different Facebook pages or Facebook groups if you have different groups you’re a part of. What’s cool is I did a test video. I did a Facebook live video straight from Zoom. I just shared it straight to my business profile. It automatically shared it when I did a straight Facebook Live video. It shared a live video straight from LiveLeap from my personal profile, posted by Scott Carson or posted by my business page straight to the WCN Crew. I didn’t have to go and hit share, it automatically did this. The live video, you’ll see five shares. It shared it to the Note CAMP Facebook page, Scott Carson personal page, Note Closers Show Podcast, Inverse Investments page and then my Scott Carson as well.

It shared it across those five pages, the group and my personal page. If you have a business page, a personal page or like Chris, you’ve got Notes and Bolts or suddenly you may be starting Stonegate Capital or you’ve got other groups that will share it too. It’s really cool that it’s all at once there. I did it and automatically shared it across those pages. What’s great about it, it not only shares it to your Facebook pages, you can pick a whole variety of things. I want to show you some of these things that’s pretty cool. You want to go on the dashboard, and you pick up a Facebook Route manager. They got a cool Facebook group there and add her out in Facebook Route manager. I click on here. Anytime I have a video across my four Facebook pages, it will automatically reshare them to those other four Facebook pages, plus then I’ll share it in 41 Facebook groups. It also shares it to one Twitter account I have or my main Twitter account. It also shares to my LinkedIn account.

You can also share it to an email list if you use an CRM. Let me show you here, which is cool. Create a new route. It is going to recognize anytime I do a video. You see, if I’m sharing Inverse Investments, The Note Closers Show, my business page, Note CAMP, let’s say I’m going to do one from Social Media Day. “Allow prerecorded videos to Syndicator auto-share.” Yes, let’s do that. Let’s just say SM Day. “Do you want to share the live video so you can post it on your personal profile?” Yes, let’s go ahead and do that too. Hit next and I can pick the pages that it shares to and which Facebook pages you’d like to share your live videos too. Let’s do Social Media Day and let’s do Podcast day. I can go back and put all these other things in here.

With all the groups that I have, I can go in and pick all the groups that I want this thing to automatically share to. Let’s pick the WCN Crew. Let’s pick some of these other deals, The Note Closers groups and this Loan Tales, Centex Podcasters. I can share with all the groups that I’ve created. You know that we created a lot of these Note Closers groups across the country, which is pretty cool. That’s automatically a way to distribute it out there. We’re good there. Where do we want to share it to next? Let’s share it to my Twitter account. I clicked the link once. I was being authorized my app for Twitter. I’ve got 10,000 people on Twitter just like that. My Twitter account is synced with Live Leap and I want to go ahead and connect to my LinkedIn profile. Let’s go ahead and do this as well. I’ve already got LinkedIn there. Live Leap’s already going to do it.

NNA 41 | Repurposing Content

Repurposing Content: LiveLeap.com is a thing that goes out and also recognizes that you’re doing live video. It’ll automatically share it across different platforms besides YouTube.

Next, if I want to upload a list, they allow me to use their SMS services. I can also upload a list of emails if I wanted to go out through as well. If I have ActiveCampaign, I can do that there as well, but I like who I use. I can also send live notifications on this website where I can put in a link down here when I had National Social Media Day. I can have it automatically upload and send a notification to that website. I can also post that webhook into other webhooks that I have URLs. It will automatically share across the page. You see one personal page and one Facebook page. You get all of these groups here. I already checked in and they’re good to go, Twitter, LinkedIn. All good to go there. I’m not going to share to those because I’m already good, hit next, now we’re good to go. I was missing that personal page. I want to tweak it very easy.

Let’s go to my Twitter account so you can see exactly what is shared. Click on my tweets, my 210,000 followers. You can see besides my Twitter account, you can see I’m going live at Facebook.com. They recognized and gave a link. We click on the link there and it takes it back to my Facebook page automatically. That’s so cool. There’s the thing I posted. It should pop up. You should see the test run for Note Night. Let’s go to LinkedIn and you can see what it says on LinkedIn. It’s on my LinkedIn page. I’ll get my profile here. This should pop up in the feed. I didn’t share this to LinkedIn. It should show up in the profile that I’m on there, which is nice. That’s cool. “Scott Carson’s going live.” It would show the same thing that the Twitter account showed. That’s the thing. It’s an awesome aspect of that. You do a live video straight to Facebook. You don’t have to do it through Zoom. It’s straight from your cell phone and you use LiveLeap set up and Repurpose set up. It will automatically be shared across the board. It also would make it easy, where you all got to do is hit one button and then share it and upload the video to YouTube. It saves you hours of time and not having to repost. I would go back and tweak a little bit, but still it allows you to blitzkrieg your marketing at one time.

People are like, “Scott, how do you get so much stuff done?” That’s one of the things I heard from podcasters that know me. I’m like, “LiveLeap and Repurpose.io are two things that I use.” LiveLeap is not much more expensive either, but the same. $19 per month is what I have. You can do $1 for a seven-day trial, which is pretty cool. I mess around with it a couple of times and it’s always cool. $19 per month, you get Facebook pages, groups, Twitter, LinkedIn update, email alerts, if you want text alerts, website alerts, training, plus you can put a Page Builder. That’s what I have. I don’t need the pro plan right now, but this works pretty well because I set it up once and I get to touch base once a month with it to tweak anything. It’s so easy for me to use. I don’t have to do a lot of work on it. That’s why I like it so much because it’s like the Roku channel, set it and forget it.

LiveLeap does more but the thing is LiveLeap’s not going to share your video to YouTube. It’s just going to share in an alert. It’s not going to record it. It’s going to share it across Facebook. They’re not the same thing, that’s what you have to realize. Repurpose.io recognizes you have a video and makes it easy for you to upload to YouTube, which is where you want to be uploading because YouTube is the number two search engine. LiveLeap is going to share it across different pages and different groups and then run it as a tweet out to Twitter and then also as a LinkedIn update. LiveLeap’s cool because it will blast all across Facebook, but if your audience is not on Facebook, you still want to be able to use Repurpose to upload it to YouTube for the second largest search engine. These things are very critical. If you got $20 to $30 a month, you’re able to get these two things done.

Instagram Live: Engage Followers Real Time

What I want you all to do is if you have an Instagram account, I want you to go to Instagram. Pull out your cell phone and get to Instagram. You see the little camera up at the top. Click on that camera. That’s going to take you to what looks like a Facebook Live. You can see here, that’s reversed around and you see down at the bottom where it says Type, Music, Live, Normal, Boomerang, Rewind or Hands-Free. You want to go over to where it says live. This is a great way, I found this out from working with my buddy, Adam Schaeuble from Casting The Pod, how he’s growing his Instagram audience by doing Instagram Live with people and then bringing them live online. I’m going to go live and when you see me jump on go live, go on there and comment. We’re going to do this and hit go live.

Those of you that follow me, once it goes live, it should pop up your Instagram and says, “Scott Carson’s going live.” You are now live. “Hi, everybody out in Instagram Live. I hope that you are watching this.” We’ll have some few friends that will log onto their Instagram account. Bill Griesmer, I’m going to click on you. I’m going to ask you to come on live. Go live with Bill Griesmer. You want to go live with one person at a time. Bill, you should see something pop up in your Instagram. We’re going to do this on a couple of people, so don’t get upset. What’s up, Bill? The great thing if you do this and go live with somebody like this, it alerts both of our Instagram people. It alerts all my people, but it also alerts all your people that you’re live with me as well.

One of the things I learned from a buddy of mine in marketing, he’s like, “I go live.” He does these Facebook Lives with people that are either on his podcast or the people that are influencers and he’s providing content and that other person’s audience is coming on to his account and subscribing and following along. I was like, “Genius.” You don’t want to go live with one person and you can only go live for an hour. What he was talking about doing was like a mini-summit, bringing in three people on for fifteen minutes each. Bill, what will probably end up happening is some of your audience will probably start clicking over and doing it, but you don’t do too much on Instagram, do you?

I don’t do as much as other stuff. It’s more on LinkedIn and Facebook.

That’s okay, but this is a way to start growing your audience. I’m going to kick Bill off and I’m going to bring somebody else back on here. Start thinking about this. You can start talking or everybody could do a 15to 30-minute call with another note investor and other fundings if they have an Instagram account. Bring them on live. I’m going to remove Bill Griesmer from it. Thanks, Bill. Let’s bring on Nahir. Go live with MJS Notes.

NNA 41 | Repurposing Content

Repurposing Content: You can start talking or everybody could do a 15 to 30-minute call with another note investor and other funding if they have an Instagram account.

That is so cool.

You can even request to be on it. You could send me a request if you’re watching this live, “I’d like to go live with Scott,” as Bill says. Isn’t that pretty cool?

I love this thing.

You can only bring one person live at a time. Bill’s asking, “Is that Boomerang?” No, this is the Instagram Live aspect of it. You can bring one person on but my buddy, Adam, who shared this at our New Media Summit, he also shared it at Podfest. I thought it was one of the greatest tools that he provided because it’s a great way to do this. If you see somebody that you’re working with or another investor, it’s a great way to leverage both of your guys’ profiles to help grow your audience. He’s been doing this on a regular basis pretty much. It’s almost something like if you have a Tampa note group, it could be something you’re doing to preview your topic a couple of days out.

You want to make sure you have a good battery because my phone’s about to die. Let’s bring on somebody else here. I kicked Nahir off. Let’s try Eric Hyde here. We’re previewing something on Note Night in American for the WCN membership, how to be able to leverage Instagram and doing a quick little Instagram live with somebody. The thing that works out well, if you go live with somebody like this, Eric, not only do I get access to your members or your followers, but you would get access to my followers as well. It’s a great way to leverage your audience and leverage other people’s audience to drive followers and people to join with you as well. This is a cool thing. Don’t be surprised if you see us doing more of this stuff as well. I’m going to kick off Eric. Let’s see if we can get Christina Fuller on here. It’s a great way to leverage your audience and other people’s audiences there.

This is great, fantastic.

See you later, Christina. I’m going to kick you off. I see Matthew Hill. What’s going on?

Hi, how are you doing?

We’re doing Note Night in America here. We’re showing everybody how to use Instagram Lives. The cool thing if you do this with bringing somebody on is your audience connects with me, those who are looking through this and then my audience will also connect with you as well. It’s a great way to be mutually beneficial to audiences for you. It’s a pretty cool tool.

NNA 41 | Repurposing Content

Repurposing Content: The online tools help people save time while still getting a lot of work done without having to do the work.

It’s very cool, I love it.

You do this one person at a time. My buddy, Adam is talking about doing like a mini-summit, you plus three other people for fifteen minutes each for an hour. You’re able to communicate almost like Facebook Live. My audience will tap into you and vice versa. Your audience will also connect with me on this. It goes live across both platforms.

This is awesome.

It’s something new that we’ll be using a little bit more in some of my marketing, things if you’ve got an interview or something on like that. It’s like a little bit of a hangout. Let’s try New 2 U Property, let’s see what you got. It will only allow you to bring one person at a time. Remember I said do a mini-summit. You have three people, but they’re only on fifteen minutes and you bring somebody else on, then the second person. This allows you to bring one person on at a time. You see some opportunity in how to be able to use this in your marketing or some other things that you got going on. It’s really easy. The technology’s a great thing. In that amount of time, we had 28 viewers. I just hit a button to share it. It gets shared to my story. You can see right there, it’s all in my story now. We’re doing some cool stuff here, rocking out some different marketing stuff.

It’s a cool tool that you can use to share, “I’m at this property. Let’s do some Q&A about this deal.” That’s one of the cool things you’re going to see us doing over the next couple of weeks as well. Those are the three tools: Repurpose.io, LiveLeap and then the Instagram Live. I posted two affiliate links in Basecamp for you to take a look at, for you to be able to use one for LiveLeap.com and one for Repurpose.io, click on them. I get one month free. It’s $19 per month or $7 for the first day, then $12 per month. It’s not much at all, but at least it’s an opportunity to use for some things out there and mess around. I love for you to save some time. These three tools have been helpful in doing some cool stuff for us and getting a lot of work done without having to do a lot of the work. That is all that I’ve got for you.

You want to be in a good internet spot, so you got good Wi-Fi so it’s not so fuzzy, good sound, not a lot of background sound either. You’re quiet and able to communicate and can do some cool things. Hopefully, that was valuable. You could do this and post that live, you’ve got connections or pre-plan it. What I would do is say, “What’s going on? That was a badass thing that you did. Let’s talk about that deal. Let’s talk about that case study. Let’s talk about that deal you’re closing on.” That’s something to think about. That’s all I’ve got for you on Note Night in America. Hopefully, it was valuable for you out there. We’ve got some great stuff we’ll be going through. We’ll see you all at the top.
